  Summary:

  Serves as a key developmental role to prepare future Zone Director candidates by providing leadership and strategic thinking experiences and opportunities.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Leads District Managers (District Sales Managers and District Parts/Service Managers) to meet retail and wholesale targets regarding Vehicle Sales, Parts and Accessory Sales, Marketing, Training, Customer Satisfaction and Lead-Handling.

  Manages District staff, which includes developing staff through honest and direct feedback, regular coaching and the performance management process (developing goals, tracking progress, and completing timely evaluations).

  Regularly and effectively communicates with assigned District teams, Region staff, and Retailers regarding progress updates and zone initiatives such as increasing market shar, improving Subaru Added Security (SAS) sales and improving Net Promotor Scores (NPS) scores for assigned geographic (zone) area.

  Communicates regularly with SOA Field Operations and SOA Fixed Operations to provide feedback on business and zone initiatives.

  Meets with Zone Director regularly for coaching and applies received feedback for self-development.

  Translates and prioritizes initiatives for District- and Retailer-level strategy into actions and goals, which includes working with Zone Director to develop programs and effectively utilize budgets.

  Influences Retailer actions that positively impact facility representation, customers satisfaction and community involvement.

  Develops productive relationships with Zone and Region colleagues and Retailer staff.

  Required Skills & Abilities:

  Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.

  Ability to effectively execute on corporate strategies for retailer and market development objectives that will positively affect SOA’s goals.

  Ability to engage in comprehensive problem solving.

  Strong capacity for leadership.

  Strong negotiation skills to influence retailer actions.

  Ability to manage and adapt to change.

  Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new or proprietary systems.

  Market development and other field management experience – preferred

  Experience managing a team - preferred.

  HQ / Corporate experience – preferred

  Position may require current and future relocation.

  Education/Experience Requirements: Four (4) year advanced degree with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience

  Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $150000 - $187700 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
