  KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate or Associate to join our International Tax practice.

  Responsibilities:Assist in advising clients on a full spectrum of US corporate tax services, including planning, research, compliance, provision work and mergers and acquisitions related activitiesPrepare US income tax returns for a variety of clients, including US domestic and foreign corporations, partnerships and other information returnsResearch and analyze US federal and state income tax issues in connection with a full spectrum of US corporate and/or partnerships tax services, including planning, research, compliance, provision work and mergers and acquisitions related activitiesInbound investment into the US: tax-efficient structuring of a non-US organizations investment into the US, including analysis of issues such as US permanent establishment, ECI, withholding taxes, inbound financing, FIRPTA, branch profits, earnings stripping and application of double tax treatiesOutbound investment from the US to Asia: planning regarding anti-deferral (CFC, PFIC), utilization of foreign tax credits and assistance regarding the new GILTI and BEAT regimes Qualifications:Minimum one year of recent public accounting and/or US corporate tax experienceBachelors degree from an accredited college/university; Master's in Taxation, JD and/or LLM (with a concentration in tax) preferredExperienced Associate or Senior Associate must work in our International Tax practice office in ShanghaiExcellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese Chinese languages are preferred but not necessaryStrong analytical, organizational, Excel and PowerPoint skills Additional Qualifications for Senior Associate:

  Minimum three years of public accounting and/or US corporate tax experience
