The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) is responsible for integrating systems across the National Security Space Enterprise to deliver multi-domain warfighter effects.
The Aerospace Corporation's Space Systems Architecture Division (SSAD) delivers the technical expertise to enable this integration. SSAD is charged with evaluating the existing space architectures and system capabilities, conducting analysis to show how those systems contribute towards closure of mission threads and effects chains, and identifying technical solutions that contribute to an overall resilient and effective Space Enterprise.
The Enterprise Integration and Technical Agent subdivision is seeking an innovative leader to address near-term, complex integration challenges in support of space system engineering efforts. The Associate Systems Director will be responsible for leading Aerospace efforts to support and advise the Command & Control Technical Agent (C2TA). Operating within SSIO in SSC, the C2TA serves as a nexus for the integration of space enterprise capabilities. This role will require close collaboration across SSC and mission partner organizations to ensure the delivery of critical space enterprise capabilities. Working side-by-side with government counterparts and other FFRDC personnel, this unique and highly-visible position will directly tackle some of the most urgent capability integration challenges facing the USSF.
Work Model: 100% onsite work. This position will be on-site located in El Segundo, CA.
What You'll Be DoingPartnering with the C2TA government leadership and Aerospace management teamCo-lead a team performing the integration of complex, system of systemsWork across program, mission, and stakeholder boundaries to champion enterprise perspectives into Aerospace assessments on program roadmaps and systems engineering artifactsApply innovative and impactful problem solving approaches to address risks, issues and gaps in the integration of space enterprise capabilitiesCollaborate closely and effectively with government, Aerospace, other FFRDC and contractor support personnelCommunicate on the organization's activities, progress, and achievements through written and oral reportsEnsure quality of technical products meetings management and customer needsLead, develop, and maintain a strong team of highly talented staff to drive innovative approaches to systems-of-systems architectingWork with the Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) to ensure effective and timely analysis supports the effects chain work, including critical modeling and simulation capabilitiesWhat You Need to Be Successful
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical subject areaFifteen or more years of professional related experience and 10 or more years of experience supporting National Security Space missionsDemonstrated enterprise level thinking, including the ability to think strategically and set measurable tactical goalsHistory of proactive problem solving and enthusiasm about tackling new problems in innovative waysAbility to communicate highly complex concepts to senior corporate and Government leadershipHistory of success working in a rapidly changing, agile environmentSome travel is requiredThis position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government; and U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearanceHow You Can Stand Out
