Our Associate Store Managers are integral to the success of our company. As an Associate Store Manager, it's your job to help develop, engage, and motivate a high-performing team. You instill the importance of excellent customer service as outlined in our UGG LIFE Service Program and continually motivate team members to develop their service and product knowledge to provide the best possible customer experience.
Description
As an Associate Store Manager, you partner closely with your Store Manager to assist in all aspects of the business including the recruiting, hiring, training, and development of an effective store team. You uphold high training standards and ensure that your team is current in all product knowledge and operational programs. You understand the value of exceptional customer service and you actively promote, model, and elevate the quality of customer service as outlined in UGG LIFE. You help motivate and encourage team members to work cooperatively to achieve goals.
In this role, you help manage the store's inventory, cash, and labor. You assist in the store's budgeting and financial planning and communicate sales goals and new programs to your team members. Additionally, you implement visual merchandising directions and maintain store and merchandising standards that promote the UGG Brand image. As a team leader, you continuously coach and develop your team members to meet the short and long-term needs of the business. You provide input and insights for performance evaluations and goal assessments of team members and help manage the performance review process. Further, you understand that the needs of the business extend beyond the store's four walls, which requires that you maintain awareness of industry trends and local competitors in order to meet and anticipate customer demands.

Visual Merchandising
In conjunction with the above roles and responsibilities associated with the comprehensive Associate Manager job description, Flagship retail store locations may have an Associate Manager of Visual Merchandising in addition or in place of the Associate Manager job title. This role will encompass all aspects of Associate Manager job description in addition, but not limited to the below focuses as they pertain to Visual Merchandising.
Elevate and prioritize the customer visual experience and ensure the highest of in-store standards Maintain a customer-centric mentality versus a solely store-centric one Motivate team members to ensure store and Brand standards Collaborate with Visual Experience team to develop strategies specific to the NYC customer and geographic nuances to elevate and enhance the Flagship visual experience. Lead and collaborate with team members to deliver elevated visual experiences Train and develop quality team members by supporting team members in identifying career development goals and opportunities for growth and exposure Communicate effectively and often with all team members Actively recruit and hire quality team members to add to team, planning for and creating talent bench Monitor business metrics and identify business opportunities and strategies to facilitate results Track progress against departmental strategies to implement properly and successfully Act resolutely and in accordance with the long and short-term needs of the business Demonstrate a working knowledge and appreciation of the UGG business and the fashion industry Implement visual guidelines for in-store design and product including footwear, apparel, and accessories Exemplify excellent decision-making skills (e.g., problem definition, data analysis, hypothesis testing, asking for input)
Key Qualifications
Two (2) to five (5) years minimum retail store management/visual merchandising experience preferred.Associates Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience requiredStrong communication skills and ability to convey the UGG and Deckers Brands Vision and Mission to your team members and customersExcellent project management skills, organizational skills, and attention to detailStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work through challengesAbility to multi-task in a dynamic environmentAbility to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from corporate partners, clients, and other employees of the organization. Demonstrates a passion for fashion and trends Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds Managers must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role this specific store location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
