We are seeking an Associate Scientist, Sample Preparation to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Ithaca, NY.

　　As an Associate Scientist in our Sample Preparation group, you’ll perform routine and specialized analysis and laboratory testing procedures to gather critical data for use in drug development and clinical trials research.

　　What you’ll be doing :

　　Conducting and documenting analytical procedures in line with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

　　Performing data analysis to ensure procedures and results meet set expectations and standards.

　　Identifying and escalating unusual results to senior laboratory personnel.

　　Processing and uploading data analysis results into the LIMS system with guidance from senior staff.

　　Assisting with quality control investigations, addressing deviations, and implementing resolutions.

　　Preparing necessary reagents and solutions and maintaining laboratory equipment.

　　Supporting the training and development of new staff and updating laboratory procedures.

　　Contributing to cross-functional projects and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.

　　Engaging in continuing education and supporting safety, quality, and operational excellence initiatives.

　　What We’re Looking For :

　　A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.

　　Basic knowledge of assigned technical area, systems, and procedures obtained through prior work experience.

　　Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures.

　　Experience working with automation or specialized laboratory equipment.

　　Skills That Will Help You in the Role :

　　Proficiency in laboratory techniques and safety protocols, including the handling of hazardous chemicals.

　　Experience with automation or specialized lab equipment and routine lab calculations.

　　The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $48,900.00 - $73,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
