Responsibilities
We are seeking a mission-focused Product Owner/Mission Analystto support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Springfield, Virginia!
This unique position is on a newly awarded contract, and we are seeking an imagery or geospatial analyst interested in modernizing the way IT architecture supports the analytic mission—it will involve connecting intelligence needs with software development.
Mission Engineers work in an agile environment and are vital to the success of this program, ensuring that analytic user interfaces are intuitive, operational, and trusted by a range of intelligence analysts. They support continuous user engagement, collecting requirements and needs from GEOINT analysts with similar backgrounds. They bring a solid understanding of data modeling and solicit feedback from different analytic branches and user divisions. Once the software is developed, they develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and troubleshoot issues with analysts on the floor.
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria and to produce a clearly defined backlog
Translate and communicate the product vision to Agile development teams utilizing the scrum framework
Act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams to remove roadblocks, resolve conflicts, and decide actions
Champions solutions and prioritizes requirements to deliver the best value to the customer
Engage directly with intelligence analysts to understand their mission needs and then bring that knowledge back to your Scrum team
Support development efforts, possibly train government analysts (desk-side and in the classroom)
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
An active TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance
Five (5) years of experience as a geospatial or imagery analyst
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a technical discipline
Familiar with intelligence systems
Experience as an instructor or working in a training environment
Experience working within an agile environment supporting development efforts and system users
Experience writing user stories
Understand Agile software development practices
Experience briefing customers on project status
Willing to learn new products and technologies and seek out opportunities for program growth
Experience presenting new system capabilities to users and presenting technical reviews to customers
Technical experience using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)
Effective communication skills
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
Experience with data science
Experience with ABI
Cognitive Science experience
Knowledge in software development
Experience with report writing
Agile SAFe certification
Experience performing analysis at many levels of total system product to include planning, test, installation, operation, and maintenance
Security Clearance Level
TS/SCI with an adjudicated CI polygraph or ability to obtain a CI polygraph
