Your Impact:
Women's Health is looking for an Associate News Editorto develop our daily lineup of quick-hit coverage spanning fitness, health, beauty and culture. We primarily focus on health-related celebrity and pop culture news, but if it's timely and matters to readers, we're covering it. You will use your experience in digital content creation to edit daily news stories and explainers, swarm breaking news in real time, and prep coverage for future events. The ideal candidate will find creative and strategic ways to increase monthly and yearly traffic and reach other engagement goals. This position reports to our Senior Digital Deputy Editor.

Responsibilities:
Pitch daily news stories relevant to the Women's Health audience Write quick-turnaround news content Assign and edit news stories to freelance writers Conduct weekly analytics reports on news content Brainstorm and execute commerce stories based around timely deals Attend and cover press previews and other industry events as neededQualifications:
You have at least 2 years of experience in writing and reporting timely news stories. You have a passion for all things health and wellness. You have a basic understanding of analytics and digital best practices. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can juggle many deadlines at once. You hold a Bachelor's degree.The base salary for this role is between $64,000 and $67,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
