  The Job:

  As an Associate National Account Manager, you’ll be part of our Menards’s team working as a virtual employee. You’ll get to

  Develop, direct, implement and communicate our strategy at the store level, working closely with our National Account Managers and Menards merchants. The position will assist with current and long-term sales growth plans, category management, product line reviews, forecasting, marketing, promotions, supply chain, and customer service. The position will be in the (Milwaukee/Madison/Eau Claire, WI; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL) area.

  Work in collaboration with the Director of Sales and National Account Managers to achieve team targets and execute product launches and training.

  Develop and maintain regular and effective relationships at all levels within the customer’s stores.

  Responsible for setting and maintaining retail sets for specific area in a large home center chain in the Midwest.

  Provide product training to store employees and customers.

  Must be able to travel and be comfortable with public speaking for training events. Must be a self-starter and be someone who can work independently.

  Provide cross-functional feedback as it relates to business operations, goal attainment, special projects.

  Regularly analyze key performance and productivity metrics to understand the business, identify opportunities and/or address business challenges.

  Collect and process competitor data to grow the account effectively.

  Work with demand planning and operations teams on forecasting adjustments for new or lost listings; promotional plans, and business changes.

  The Person:

  Bachelor’s degree in business or similar

  2-3 years of experience in sales or account management

  Demonstrated project management skills.

  Demonstrated background in business analytics and computer skills.

  Solid understanding of Marketing (preferably retail/consumer)

  Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively.

  Retail experience, especially in home center channel is desirable, not required.

  Ability to travel overnight 2-3 nights per month.
