　　MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

　　Technical Diploma in instructional area or equivalent higher education training with credentials in related field. 　　The Automotive Technology Associate Instructor is responsible for instructing incarcerated individuals inside a correctional facility in order to prepare them to re-enter the job market in the automotive technology field.

　　The Associate Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual students progress; maintain appropriate documentation of student progress; submit timely reports; and maintain close communication with correctional personnel and TCAT Dickson administration. This position provides theory and hands-on skills instruction. Areas of instruction include training in the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) certified program and the eight areas of ASE certification: engine repair, transmissions and transaxles, manual drive train and axles, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical and electronic systems, climate control, and engine performance. This position is full-time and reports to the Turney Center Program Coordinator. Applicants selected for an interview will be required to tour the Turney Center facility. Scheduled work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Anticipated start date for the position is March 2024.
