We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
This is an entry-level, mid-level or senior level human resource business partner position, located in South Raleigh or Gastonia, North Carolina with the preferred location being South Raleigh. This role is a critical link between management and employees on human resources issues and is essential to ensuring company and business unit programs, policies and procedures are implemented in a consistent and legal manner. This role will travel up to 50% with overnight stays, as needed.
Specific Job Responsibilities
Responds to inquiries from management and employees on human resources issues to ensure company and business unit programs, policies and procedures are administered in a consistent and legal manner.
Identifies human resources needs for the business unit.
Collaborates and works with management and others in the human resources community to develop strategies and plans to address needs identified and assists in integrating human resources strategies with business plans.
Coordinates administration of human resource programs such as succession and workforce planning, test administration, transfer/relocation policy interpretation, staffing/position posting system, performance management, compensation/salary administration and pay for performance processing, leadership training, and talent programs such as co-op, internships and minority scholarship programs.
Provides tools to address a variety of moderately complex to higher-level complex HR issues and initiatives including compliance, employee relations, investigations, equitable and consistent treatment of employees, change management and problem resolution.
May gather and compile data, perform analysis and make recommendations.
May provide interpretation of union collective bargaining agreement to line management and attend and participate in grievance processes by providing input and advice to management and employees.

Related experience can include employee related functions in payroll/compensation, talent acquisition, employee relations and human resources operations;
Knowledge of human resources trends and practices;

Strategic and influential mindset;

Preferred Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Experience
• Mid-to-advanced experience using Power Point, EXCEL, WORD, SharePoint, and Power BI;
• Working knowledge in SAP, Workday or other employee data management system; and
• Working in union environments

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or other related area of education. An equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.
