This position is responsible for evaluating solutions to specific Transmission and Distribution needs. In addition, the individual will support established three state committees as part of the life cycle process improvements.
Essential Functions:
Review and edit technical project proposals.Identifies and implements process improvement initiatives for the project life cycle.QA/QC review of project technical scope, cost and schedule information.Develops means to ensure systems/processes are working as designed.Assists in managing project authorization through the technical and financial approval process, ensuring timely handoffs and management.Supports project quality assurance processes that evaluates all aspect of the project life cycle.Liaison between engineering, finance, project management, siting, transmission and distribution operations to maximize efficiency of the project life cycle process.Ability to present reports to senior leadership.Support competency development in emerging transmission competitive environment as it relates to project solution developmentDevelop project approval tracking databaseSupport project quality assurance processes that evaluates all aspect of the project life-cycleServe as Liaison between engineering, finance, project management, siting, transmission and distribution operations to maximize efficiency of the project life cycle processAssists in electric distribution system restoration efforts during emergenciesTechnical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Knowledge of transmission line and substation construction and maintenance work practices and proceduresExperience with reading and editing technical documentsExperience with MS Office 365Education:
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred, or Electrical Engineering TechnologyWorking Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.Compensation and Benefits:
