Job Summary
Oversee the project management, planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of Ostomy Care new product development and lifecycle management projects in accordance with agreed upon scope, timing, and budget. Driving cross functional project and/or program execution through collaboration with various functional groups, including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations and Commercial teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Consistently project manage and deliver high priority technically complex projects to ensure completion on time within the agreed scope and budget
Work with cross functional project teams to provide a coordinated and collaborative approach to New Product Development and Lifecycle Management projects.
Create detailed work plans for assigned projects which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete each project and establish the resources (time, money, capital equipment, etc.) required to complete the project activities
Work within a cross functional team to ensure workstreams are appropriately planned and integrated into master schedules
Develop communication plan and provide updates on assigned projects to stakeholders.
Review project schedules with senior management and project team members; revise schedules/plan as required to ensure successful completion
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks. Escalate as appropriate to ensure timely resolution of identified issues
Manage compliance to both Design Control and Business processes, such as preparation for Gate reviews with core team and ensuring rigorous adherence to IDEAL, the Convatec new product development process
Set up files to ensure all project information is appropriately documented and secured
Support the PMO to develop and enhance project management tools, processes, and systems to ensure consistent and efficient ways of working
Travel Requirements
Position may involve travel up to 15% of the time, within the United States and Europe. Most trips will include overnight travel.
About You
BS in Engineering or Science; MS preferred
3-5 years of experience successfully managing and delivering New Product Development projects for a medical device company
Prior experience developing medical devices strongly preferred
Project management qualification is preferred (PMP or equivalent)
Strong proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, database software, SAP, MS Outlook, Project Management Cloud Software
