We are seeking an Associate Director, Metrology to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business in Durham, NC.

　　As the Associate Director, Metrology, you will be responsible for leading a team of individuals to ensure effective oversight of instrumentation and equipment compliance and business requirements. You will also be driving cross functional partnerships to address challenges and proactively drive process improvements and innovative solutions.

　　What you’ll be doing:

　　Managing and directing the daily activities of assigned group(s) through appropriate delegation, technical skills training, and work supervision.

　　Contributing to departmental strategy and establishing goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.

　　Hiring, training, performance management, and development of staff.

　　Developing and tracking of key functional metrics and monitoring and analyzing metrics to identify and drive areas for improvement.

　　Participating in budget planning process based on revenue targets and financial goals, inclusive of consumables, instrumentation, and resourcing needs.

　　Leading cross functional and often global efforts to drive innovative solutions to instrument and equipment programs.

　　Acting as primary business continuity representative for area of accountability.

　　Serving as a subject matter expert to support the audit and inspection process and responds directly to inquiries.

　　Driving a culture supportive of six sigma, quality, and safety initiatives.

　　What We Are Looking For:

　　Bachelor's Degree orother bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

　　9 years’ experience in a laboratory environment.

　　3 years of experience managing people.

　　Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within one department or multiple related departments.

　　Overseeing complex instrumentation and metrology programs, driving, and implementing best practices.

　　The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

　　Understanding of LEAN 6 Sigma principles.

　　Strong understanding of Metrology in applicable regulatory requirements.

　　Reading and interpreting engineering documents and equipment schematics.

　　Evaluating and implementing new instrumentation and metrology technologies and improvements, inclusive of financial considerations.

　　The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $107,800.00 - $183,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
