General Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, communications, website/graphic design, or a related field. Four years of progressive experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, market research, communications, brand management, or a related field. Two years of experience in managing social media marketing programs, or a related field, is preferred. Experience working with third-party online blog tools and online marketing tools. Experience with email marketing, online communications, and segmentation programs preferred. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Collaborates with the Director of Digital and Analytics, and oversees the strategic vision, leadership, policy development, and management of an integrated marketing program. Responsible for providing professional guidance in digital marketing, supporting fundraising, admissions, publications, communications, advertising, and special events in alignment with the university’s mission and priorities.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Participates in the development, implementation, and management of the university’s social media plan to strategically market the university internally to students, faculty, and staff and externally to prospective students and their parents, alumni, friends, and influential leaders. Develops marketing and communication strategies for online and other web-based programs and lead-generation/development campaigns. Conducts market research and measures the effectiveness of marketing & communication programs. Serves in an advisory capacity for the planning and execution of major and special events and activities that will create a favorable image of the university. Develops and manages branding/graphic standards and standardized procedures and policies. Manages and administers event calendar system and integration into university communication tools. Performs other related duties as assigned.
