  , a nationally ranked Ivy League institution, is looking for an Associate Director of Cornell's Adult University, Alumni Travel, and Wine Programs to join the in Ithaca, NY.

  Cornell's Adult University (CAU), Cornell Alumni Travel, and Alumni Wine by Cornell Alumni Affairs are revenue-generating engagement programs that seek to drive increasingly scalable, meaningful engagement with the alumni, family, and friend audience, as well as to maximize revenue-generation on behalf of AAD. In that, these programs have a meaningful impact related to AAD's strategic vision and drive initiatives in support of the Cornell Alumni Engagement Strategic Plan, as well as in pursuit of both annual and campaign engagement goals.

  Reporting to the Director, the Associate Director will have primary responsibility for implementing a comprehensive strategy related to business management, operations, marketing, and communications for CAU (Study Tours and Summer), Cornell Alumni Travel, and Alumni Wine by Cornell Alumni Affairs. In close collaboration with the Director, the Associate Director will work to ensure alignment with AAD and Cornell priorities, internal protocols, and standards, as well as collaborate to position the team's programs as leaders in the revenue-generating engagement space and the educational travel sector. The Associate Director is expected to be on-site for the full 2-week summer program each July.

  Key Responsibilities

  Work collaboratively with internal partners to create creative on-brand marketing content and maintain the schedule for two weekly email channels.Collaboratively drive key content marketing-style communications efforts including to CAU faculty, CAU Summer participants, and more.Collaboratively design and manage program webpages in WordPress.Maintain high levels of customer service with alumni, friends, and family.Manage tour production, event staffing, and scheduling for Cornell Alumni Travel.Manage relationships with vendors.Engage in alliance-building with internal stakeholders at all levels to advance programmatic and organizational priorities.Manage the Alumni Wine program including vendor relationships, submission and selection process, marketing, budgeting, and relationship management with customers, alumni, and stakeholders.

  Required Qualifications

  Bachelor's Degree with coursework or relevant experience in business, marketing, sales, tourism/hospitality, or related.3-5 years of experience, working in a large, complex, team-based environment that involves working with a mixture of internal and external constituents regularly, or the equivalent combination.Experience creating effective, strategic email marketing to drive sales and influence steady annual growth.Experience planning and implementing email campaigns, managing subscriber databases, creating engaging newsletters, and analyzing campaign performance.Ability to create, implement, present, execute, and report results related to long-term plans and annual goals and objectives. Proven ability to utilize metrics for measuring impact.Must have the ability to effectively lead, support, build, and maintain a relationship with internal partners and volunteers.Must be responsive, communicative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work according to rigorous long- and short-term deadlines in close collaboration with the team.Must be able to exercise judgment and discretion and make decisions that may impact the organization and its constituents.Must be able to work with desktop applications, databases, networked informational systems, and the internet, for example, Microsoft suite, iModules, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Tableau, WordPress, and other applications.Ability to travel occasionally for up to two weeks at a time, and to work nights and evenings as required related to CAU Summer, as well as to assist with "all-hands-on-deck" events produced within the Engagement Initiatives team as a whole.

  This position is based in Ithaca, NY with hybrid work arrangements, which require in-office presence 2 or 3 days weekly.
