Position Overview
At UM, Analytics & Research works as a team, uniquely capable of delivering a smartly blended solution by tapping a broad set of analytical skills. This position will create, innovate, and oversee the analytics process. The Associate Director will oversee data collection and processing and be accountable for all of the work of the team. They will be responsible for leading conversations with the clients and creating compelling stories and recommendations from the data. This role requires leadership of cross functional teams to create unified and strategically sound client communications in addition to participation in broader data and research initiatives, writing POVs and evaluating 3rd party providers. This position is also responsible for career development for Analysts, Sr. Analysts and Managers. Responsibilities
Maximize individualgrowth and productivity Oversight of Analysts, Sr. Analysts and Managers including creating growth plans, identifying training opportunities and conducting performance evaluations Balance team workload managing capacity, upcoming projects and time/bandwidth available Communicate priorities of work, manage urgent requests and push back as needed based on team capacity Participate in UM activities and projects beyond specific account needs Maintain inter-discipline relationships with planning, ad operations, strategy, research and advanced analytics to improve our overall agency product Troubleshoot and resolve issues and work with all teams involved to ensure efficiency Lead internal agency partners to understand client's media strategy, design measurement approaches for cross-channel campaigns, work with internal and external partners to implement, track progress in-flight, lead reporting of performance to client. Create holistic analyses incorporating different campaigns and data sources that move beyond an explanation of 'what happened' to 'what is important,' 'why it happened' and 'what should be done' to help inform future strategy. Regularly present measurement and findings to internal stakeholders and clients on areas such as ad performance and consumer targeting Generate thoughtful and fully supported insights to illustrate a larger story surrounding media metrics and data trends Employ compelling storytelling to create reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of paid campaign advertising Lead the creation and communication of KPIs, research studies and measurement plans Oversee the application of syndicated and proprietary research mathematics, statistics, or marketing/advertising. Required Skills and Experience
4+ years of experience in data reporting, analytics or ad research Expertise around brand, advertising and media fields Ability to connect and identify the relationships between disparate datasets and their impact on key business outcomes Understanding of how to evaluate, resolve issues and when to escalate Understanding of measurement resources across media planning and placement Understanding of data operating models, key media metrics, KPIs and industry standard data sources including databases, DCM and Google Analytics Understanding of current state-of-the-industry norms, tools and innovations Inductive and deductive reasoning skills Understanding of research fundamentals such as sample sizes, methodology and respondent weighting Ability to communicate succinctly and professionally to client and agency stakeholders Ability to create analytics presentations that are logically bulletproof and tell compelling storiesSolid understanding of visualization tools, SQL, Python, Google Analytics and Campaign Manager (DCM) Strong working knowledge of the following: Excel (pivot tables, vlookup), Tableau back end (connecting multiple data feeds), Tableau front end (calculated fields, dynamic fields), Tableau data viz (formatting, layout), PPT, data table layout, chart formatting for timeseries, GooglingUM does not require candidates to have a college degreeDesired Skills and Experience

The salary range for this position is posted below.
