Job Purpose

EnerSys is currently seeking an experienced corporate attorney with commercial contracts experience. The position will be a hybrid position located at our global headquarters in Reading, PA. You will be a key member of our legal department and will work closely with various departments to review, draft and negotiate contracts, ensure operational compliance, and provide general legal support to the Company and the Senior Management Team. You will work closely with talented attorneys and commercial colleagues around the globe in a collegial environment. The position will report to the Deputy General Counsel.This role will work on a hybrid schedule out of the global Corporate headquarters office in Reading, PA (Monday and Friday remote, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in the office)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review, draft and negotiate domestic and international commercial contracts including sales, service, procurement, equipment supply installation agreements, operations maintenance agreements and other commercial agreements;Work effectively with sales, finance and business leadership to reach a successful outcome in contract negotiations across the Americas, EMEA and APAC;Provide strategic legal counsel on general corporate affairs to senior management and business units ensuring informed decision-making and adherence to legal standards.Assist with MA activities, as needed;Identify and assess legal and business risks to the Company;Provide assistance to the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel;Manage outside counsel and provide oversight as may be required; andProvide guidance and direction to paralegals and other support staff members of the Legal Department.Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) Degree with at least four (4) years of relevant work experience as an attorney;Must have a practicing license and be in good standing within a particular state jurisdiction;Must have excellent writing and communication skills;Must be willing to travel; andPrevious experience with manufacturing and/or construction industry a plus.
