The alc/bev industry is an exci ti ng, dynamic, and fast-paced business. Beam Suntory is a top player in the spirits business and focused on becoming the leader in American whiskey via our incredible brands with Innovation at its forefront. In this role, the Associate Brand Manager, JBBDCo. Whiskey Innovation will contribute to long-term strategic brand planning and work on an exci ti ng, priority category; setting and implementing brand strategies in conjunc ti on with cross-func ti onals (R& D, Finance, Consumer Insights, etc.), and partnering with sales to ensure execu ti on of strategies and tactics. You will serve as a brand steward in developing plans for the Small Batch American Whiskey Innovation strategies & pipelines for brands such as Knob Creek, Little Book, Old Overholt, Distiller's Share & Clermont Steep.
Role Responsibilities
Work with the Senior Brand Manager & brands teams to help define the JBBDCo Small Batch American Whiskey innovation portfolio strategy for brands such as Knob Creek, Little Book, Old Overholt, Distiller's Share & Clermont Steep both short term (up to 3 years) and long term (3-10 years). Assist in building and executing short & long term Innovation pipelines for brands such as Knob Creek, Little Book, Old Overholt, Distiller's Share & Clermont Steep within the JBBDC portfolio, in accordance with the brand strategies. Assist in the building of the pipeline for the Barreled & Boxed DTC initiative. Serve as key point of contact in liaising & working with maturing inventory team (MIT) and 8th Generation Master Distiller, Freddie Noe, to develop ideas that allow commercialization of liquid assets for Beam Suntory. Manage/lead product portfolio innovation pipeline development for but not exclusively - Knob Creek Blending Room Series, Knob Creek BouRye lines, Little Book Chapters & Little Book The Infinite. Manage agency and cross functional leader relationships to deliver cohesive message and product innovations across portfolio of brands.

Competencies / Key Skills
Manage a broad variety of projects including planning and prioritizing resources to execute agreed upon timelines & timelines Manage a diverse cross functional, multi-market team to deliver projects efficiently and effectively, from initial ideation, through concept development, liquid and packaging design, to commercialization in market Work closely with key marketing and consumer insights partners to inspire and facilitate development of products that target emerging and unmet consumer needs Partner with consumer insights team to develop optimum consumer tools and methodology specific to each innovation project, providing valuable input into screeners, questionnaires, and action standards. Direct and influence MIT, R& D product and packaging teams to develop excellence in taste delivery and pack presentation Monitor consumer trends in needs, occasions, flavors and drink experiences, and recommend activities and projects to secure a position of leadership within the whiskey category. Identify and implement best practices within innovation, to develop even better ideas and a more efficient development cycle
QUALIFICATIONS
3 years consumer brand marketing experience, alc/bev experience preferred Experience with development and commercialization of new innovations MBA preferred Travel 5 - 20 % mainly domestic but some international travel may be required Proven ability to execute flawlessly on brand/marketing projects that align with overall Brand strategy Ability to perform structured analysis of complex data as it relates to Brand direction; Strong business acumen, with proven experience in financial analysis Flawless communication skills in writing, meetings and presentations Experience identifying and applying consumer insights to new products development Resourceful, with a problem-solving attitude and willingness to think creatively to reach resolutions Collaborative and able to build bridges across cross-functional teams and geographies Active listening skills; ability to listen for feedback, and validate and address concerns
