Background & Purpose of the Job
Unilever is the Deodorants category market leader in Canada. This position will oversee the Degree brand which is the largest global brand within the portfolio. As we continue to accelerate growth and sharpen our leadership position, we are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who can contribute to making this ambition a reality. Reporting to the Associate Director, Deodorants & Grooming, the Associate Brand Manager will independently drive key activities for the business.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
Accountable for delivering the annual financial plan as measured through market share, underlying sales growth, and profit
Independently develop, execute and optimize the annual plans for the Degree portfolio, continuously identifying new growth opportunities to continue driving the fast pace of growth
Lead agency and internal cross-functional teams to achieve brand objectives
Clear understanding of customer objectives and working in alignment with Sales and Trade Marketing counterparts to support customer needs
Working closely with global brand partners to optimize communication and innovation mixes for the Canadian market, delivering on-time flawless execution of these programs
Support and contribute to realizing the objectives of the Deodorants category as a member of the team
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Degree required, preferably in Marketing with 4+ years of relevant marketing experience.
Strong growth mindset and bias for action, ability to identify and execute new opportunities
Has excellent analytical/quantitative skills & project management skills; be able to effectively present and implement action plans.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to independently lead & motivate internal cross-functional teams & external agency partners
Needs experience briefing + evaluating media strategies, activity plans and creative concepts.
