About Assisted Living Coordinator

  Description

  Westminster Woods on Julington Creek is the Natural Choice in active living. We are a five star facility located on beautiful Julington Creek in Northwest St. Johns County. Our employees work with excellence and serve with heart. We are currently seeking a full-time Assisted Living Coordinator. This position provides supervision and routine health monitoring for residents of residential and ALF living units. Also provides emergency first aide to residents and staff.   ASSISTED LIVING COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.

  Supervises the staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary administration, performance appraisal, managing policies and procedures to ensure achievement of the department’s goals.2. Responsible for the strategic planning and operations of the department by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.3. Assists with the assessments of new residents moving from Independent Living or the outside into Residential Assisted Living.4. Responsible for the appearance of the RAL department. 5. Participates in the Level of Care meetings.6. Manages the day-to-day needs of the residents. Communicates needs or changes to the family members. Conducts family meetings related to residents.7. Oversees medication dispensing and handling. Ensures that proper medications inventory levels are maintained and that audits are being performed on a regular basis. Oversees monthly MORS.ASSISTED LIVING COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in health related field or Registered Nurse (R.N.) with at least two years experience. CORE training required. Must be CPR Certified.

  Experience and Basic Knowledge:

  Must be familiar with long term care of the older adults and be able to function independently. Possesses the ability to speak, read and understand English. Two (2) years LTC or AL experience required.
