Description:
You will be working on this project at the Pitt State campus and then come up to Kansas City after the project is completed to start a new one.
Has multiple phases of ESCO work.
Scope: Mostly MEP/HVAC, Temp control, building envelope at Pitt State campus. Working on a Music hall retro fit.
Will be working in Procore and submitting submittals. Take notes, run meetings, customer facing, field administrative tasks, site activates.
Will be on site in an empty facilities office. Check in subs, check out keys, walk project site, etc.
Some relative tasks:
Assists in execution of project from beginning to end
Assists in each phase of the project including initiation, project coordination, meeting planning, documentation, project deliverables, administrative tasks (e.g. project status reporting) and project close out
Under guidance of Project Manager, to plan, schedule, and manage project timelines
Contribute to all team efforts by taking ownership of assigned tasks and duties, and is fully transparent and accountable for the successful performance of assigned tasks
Performs all duties with the highest possible degree of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
Reviews project documentation for accuracy and completeness
Manages/assists with preconstruction plan development
Prepares submittal packages as assigned
Tracks Requests for Information (RFIs)
Reads and understands complex drawings and specifications
Attends pre-construction/safety meetings
Reviews shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary
Attends preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work.
Verifies and documents that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project
Coordinates specified or required tests to verify a product/install conforms to contract requirements
Stops work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work
Schedules and coordinates punch list work
Coordinates the timely completion of as-builts
Maintain open communication with field staff regarding all issues and work to resolutions
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must haves:
-Construction management or similar degree
-Professional experience utilizing a Construction Management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
