Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Project Manager in the manufacturing industry. The role will be based in Chesapeake, Virginia, United States. As a Project Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing various projects, most notably government contracts. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of project management, contract management, risk assessment, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing government contracts to ensure timely and successful delivery.

• Utilize project management skills to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

• Apply contract management skills to manage all aspects of contract administration, ensuring contractual obligations are met.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis, report generation, and financial tracking.

• Assess and manage risks associated with each project, ensuring potential issues are identified and addressed promptly.

• Collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

• Ensure compliance with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Standard Items and familiarity with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) rules and regulations.

• Oversee project schedules and resources, coordinating team activities to keep projects on track.

• Regularly report on project status, including milestones achieved and upcoming tasks.

• Handle any arising issues or uncertainties in the project, ensuring smooth project progression. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Project Management role within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficient in Project Management methodologies and tools

• Demonstrated skills in Contract Management

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Experience in assessing and mitigating risks in projects

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field is desired

• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar is preferred

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure

• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams for success

• Familiarity with industry standard quality and safety regulations in manufacturing

• Willingness to continue professional development and stay current with industry trends.
