Job ID360792 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilyAcademic Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code9403 Employee ClassInstr Fac/TC and Coord Cmp About the Job Assistant Professor, Academic Track (Clinical)/Tenure Track Duties and Responsibilities: The Critical and Acute Care Division within the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a qualified individual for an academic track (clinical) or tenure track position as Assistant Professor. Rank will be determined based on the qualifications and experiences of the selected candidate. Caseload will include trauma, surgical critical care, and general surgery cases. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in general surgery and critical care with responsibilities to include: * Participating as the attending staff in one or more of the intensive care units associated with the Division * Participation as a Surgeon or Intensivist at one of our partner facilities * Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows * Full participation in departmental activities including but not limited to grand rounds, CEU quality meetings, Promotion and Tenure committee meetings, and faculty meetings * For qualified individuals, up to 20% FTE for research efforts may be available.
