　　**[Usual duties:[This position is offered as either a 100% teaching or 75% teaching and 25% service appointment. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the discipline of Equine Science with courses in Nutrition, Reproduction, Selection and Evaluation, Foaling, Marketing and Sales and Behavior and Training. Teaching responsibilities may also include other animal science or related courses as needed. Ability to teach traditional and online courses is expected. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate programs and competitive teams. Nine month appointment.

　　**[Degree Requirements:[An earned Master of Science or Doctorate in Equine Science, or closely related field is required. ABD candidates may be considered. Evidence of actual or potential success in university teaching, research and service.

　　**[Experience Requirements:[Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Must have demonstrated previous and current equine industry involvement, proficiency in equine training and western riding with university level teaching of equine science courses.
