JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The College of Business, Industry,Life Science and Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin-Plattevilleis seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Industrial Studies. TheDepartment of Industrial Studies has three areas of study includingManufacturing, Construction Management and Technical and EngineeringEducation. The department is looking for a dynamic full-time AssistantProfessor for the Manufacturing and Construction areas. The candidatewill have shared responsibilities in the different areas instructing atall levels. The candidate will also have the desire to promote TechnicalEducation. This is a full-time, 9-month basis, benefit eligible positionwith an anticipated start date of August 26, 2024. Responsibilities:Responsibilities include undergraduate teaching of courses in, orrelated to, manufacturing and/or construction management, covering afull range from introductory to capstone levels dependent onapplicants\' qualifications and/or experience. Assist in management ofthe construction lab that provides unique hands-on experiences incommercial, residential, and infrastructure construction. The applicantwill assist in oversight of the program and engage industry stakeholdersthrough advisory board and professional peer groups. Additionalresponsibilities include serving as academic advisor, assisting withmaintaining equipment in laboratories, developing curricula, maintainingprofessional contacts, engaging in scholarly activities, research,continued professional development, and university and communityservice. Applicants may be asked to teach courses through alternativedelivery methods and advise relevant student organizations. What You\'llNeed to Succeed: Master\'s Degree in at least one of the following:Construction Management, Industrial Technology Management, MechanicalEngineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, ProjectManagement or related field. Demonstrable skills in oral and writtencommunication in the English language.
