JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary The Assistant Plant Manager is responsiblefor overseeing the entire plant operation that processes raw materialsinto highly quality products; ensures that equipment and buildings aresanitary and in good repair with a direct report to the Plant Manager.Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job descriptionrestricts management\'s right to assign or reassign duties andresponsibilities to this job at any time. Maintains efficient and timelyflow of all raw materials received. Responsible for maintaining hourlyschedules beginning to end. Monitors performance of individuals toensure that procedures are being held to highest standards. Controlsvendor pricing by comparing prices with value, service, and qualityamong competition. Plans stock orders to minimize time and money spenton emergency ordering. Responsible for the quality of all finishedproducts and determines any reason for loss of quality. Responsible forsupervising job performance of maintenance and production personnel aswell as all the maintenance duties of equipment and buildings that areused to process raw material. Keeps all maintenance work and associatedrecords up-to-date. Performs maintenance activities as necessary.Responsible for being familiar with and observing all Company safetyrules and regulations, recognizes safety as top Company priority andconducts regularly scheduled safety meetings. Conducts investigation ofaccidents that occur within jurisdiction and makes recommendations toPlant Safety Committee. All other duties as assigned. MinimumQualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum2-3 years of prior supervisory/management experience in an industrial orplant setting. 3+ years of experience working in anindustrial/manufacturing facility. Rendering industry experience adefinite plus. Experience with screw conveyors, centrifugal pumps,centrifuges a definite plus. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor\'s degreein related area preferred. Detail oriented; highly organized. Ability towork well with internal staff and employees. Exceptional written andoral communication skills. Self-starter; self-motivated. Good math andcomputer skills.
