About Assistant Planner

  Description:

  Candidates must have the following: experience with MRP/ERP system Experience using MRP system to plan parts Experience planning parts that have expiration dating Experience scheduling work centers A Thorough knowledge of operational logic and use of MRP, inventory control, production scheduling, and capacity planning Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures Basic math skills Must have good working knowledge of Manufacturing processes and ERP systems. Must have a clear understanding of multi-level bills of materials, MRP Demand and Supply, lead-time, Safety stock, min and max quantities. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills Must be computer literate with good working knowledge of Excel and Word, Access and Project. Must have some project management skills This planner will ensure manufactured goods are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications, ensures the production and distribution of products runs smoothly, and ensures the work centers have material and work order priorities are clearly defined from scheduling This position will closely work with the Plant Manager to facilitate day-to-day workflow and efficiency details Excel Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP MRP/ERP Systems Oversight/Entries Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, ERP Systems Computer experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet, MRP) Monitors shop production progress on a daily basis Works closely with the Production Supervisor and material control personnel Teamwork, excellent safety acumen and independent judgment is required Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
