About Assistant Manager, Global Communications - La Mer

  PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

  The Assistant Manager will assist in executing the strategic vision of Global Communications to drive earned media and word of mouth through talent and partnership focused initiatives. This role will be responsible for leading key campaigns and equity driving activations, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of earned media strategies. The Assistant Manager will work directly with Regions to ensure success of earned media priorities across priority initiatives and markets via talent and partnership focused activations.

  ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  Earned Media Strategy

  □ Assist with development of the talent and partnership pillars for priority NPL innovations/projects, evergreen moments and special projects outlined within the global communications earned media strategy.

  □ Develop briefs, asset checklists, go-to-market toolkits, regional playbooks, and guidelines for relevant launches/programs that include talent and partnership strategy, influencer mailers/content, spokespeople/ambassador requests, and more.

  □ Manage global influencer EMV platforms such as Tribe Dynamics and Launch metrics for quarterly reporting and event/program specific reporting on KPI performance relating to talent and partnerships.

  □ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of earned media strategies and initiatives.

  □ Support and attend global activations and events (approximately 1-2 times per year).

  Talent

  □ Support Director in developing and managing global celebrity and influencer strategy in support of priority NPLs, campaigns, special projects, etc.

  □ Serve as main point of contact for Regions on all talent related inquiries and activations.

  □ Keep a pulse on the talent landscape, including fashion/lifestyle influencers, celebrities, artists, and skin-focused talent (i.e., MUAs, facialists, etc.)

  □ Remain up to date on competitors and their talent partners, campaigns, and activations.

  □ Assist in development of yearly talent strategy and guidelines/tools as needed

  □ Manage reporting dashboards and provide necessary analytics for talent identification and performance recaps.

  □ Manage relationships with agency partners as needed.

  Collaborations & Partnerships

  □ Support Director in managing and developing global collaborations and partnerships strategy in support of priority NPLs, campaigns, special projects, etc.

  □ Serve as main point of contact for Regions on all collaboration and partnership related inquiries and activations, including managing ad-hoc regional partnership requests.

  □ Keep a pulse cultural landscape, including potential brand partners and collaboration opportunities across lifestyle, fashion, art, and luxury industries

  □ Remain up to date on competitors and their collaborators/partners, campaigns, and activations.

  □ Assist in development of yearly collaborations and partnerships strategy and guidelines/tools as needed.

  □ Manage reporting dashboards and provide necessary analytics for collaborator/partner identification and performance recaps.

  □ Manage relationship with agency partners as needed.

  Mailers & Gifting

  □ Collaborate with Director of Talent & Partnerships and Creative Packaging to develop mailers for priority NPLs, campaigns, special projects, etc.

  □ Liaise with regions on execution and delivery of mailers.

  □ Manage relationship with agency partners as needed.

  □ Manage product gifting and donation requests.

  Ambassadors

  □ Manage internal Global spokespeople as required based on program, including ambassador requests for interviews and in-person appearances; liaise with Regions to manage proposals, brief/prep ambassadors and travel into market with ambassadors as needed.

  Region/Market support

  □ Support regional and market Communications strategies.

  □ Partner with Regions/Markets to ensure tools and resources required to execute and drive earned media locally have been provided.

  □ Assist markets with ad hoc talent and partnership requests.

  Qualifications

  REQUIREMENTS

  § 2-3 years of Communications, Influencer Marketing or Event/Agency experience

  § Bachelor's degree

  § Strong understanding of global talent and luxury industry landscape

  § Ability to own and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  § Excellent verbal/written communications and presentation skills.

  § Detail and process-oriented, organized, resourceful and proactive.

  § Collaborative and positive team player.

  § Strong understanding and experience of social media across all platforms.

  § Ability to accommodate early morning or night calls with international markets (2-3 hours/month); travel to markets (2-3 times/year).

  § Strong PowerPoint skills; proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with reporting dashboards such as Tribe Dynamics, Launchmetrics, etc.; can work on both MAC and PC.

  The anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $106,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
