  Assistant Manager

  Job Purpose

  We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team and help manage our daily operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing staff, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner, and providing support to the management team. The Assistant Manager will also be expected to provide feedback and guidance to employees, as well as assist with training new staff members.

  Duties and Responsibilities

  Open and close the store.

  Functions as the Store Manager in his/her absence.

  Involvement in employee coaching, teamwork, and maintaining a highly motivated work force.

  Conduct ongoing training and regular performance feedback to recognize results in the areas of production, customer service, and teamwork.

  Keep Store Manager informed of potential conflicts. Aid in communication with staff to prevent future issues.

  Ensure that all employees are being held to company standards and policies.

  Control labor costs in alignment with business.

  Schedule employees to ensure cost effective operations (control labor).

  Prepare paperwork associated with cash receipts, sales statistics, employee records, etc.

  Sell and explain services and products to customers.

  Resolve customer complaints within established guidelines.

  Ensure consistent car wash quality and an orderly rotation of cars.

  Perform all duties associated with service advising, entrance end, and exit end such as guiding vehicles onto the conveyer.

  Ensure that employees are aware of product offerings, contests, coupons, etc.

  Ensure that all employees are trained in the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), their safety features, SDS, and the importance of ongoing housekeeping and environmental issues. Ensure that chemicals are handled by trained personnel only.

  Monitor the use of chemicals, reduce waste in prepping, and chemical transfers.

  Perform weekly inventory and submit stock orders in accordance with procedures.

  Receive product shipments and enter into the computer system.

  Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure they are performing efficiently.

  All other duties assigned.

  Requirements

  A minimum of 2 years of successful supervisory experience.

  Experience with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  Able to read, write, and possess good verbal communication skills.

  Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time.

  Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

  Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  Preferred: High School Diploma and/or College Credits.
