Assistant Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a knowledgeable, qualified individual to serve as the Assistant Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor. Individuals must possess knowledge of turf maintenance, irrigation and general horticulture. Must be capable of operating industry specific equipment, chemical applications, performing basic administrative procedures and directing seasonal staff.

Function
The Assistant Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and participating in the overall maintenance of golf course greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and grounds at Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club. Maintenance consists of but not limited to equipment operation, irrigation repairs, chemical applications, training and supervising golf course employees along with supervision of projects and daily activities.

Supervision Received
The Assistant Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor functions under the direct supervision of the Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor with additional supervision from the Director of Parks Planning & Maintenance.
Experience
A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in a related field.
Illinois Pesticide Operator License for Turf or ability to obtain.
Education
If less than two years' experience in the filed associate degree in Horticulture, Turf, Park Maintenance, or related field required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Salary Range
Full Time Grade: 3 Non-Exempt
Hiring Range: $50,000 - $65,000 DOQ
