  Manage the day-to-day operations and functions for the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards to ensure the efficient processing of incident reports and student conduct cases (over 2,000 cases annually) for students in New York City and at the Global Academic Centers. Manage the student conduct database and provide technical direction for activities in the assessment, research, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of various data and information to support the planning and evaluation of the University’s student conduct program. Provide leadership for the Office’s restorative initiatives. Investigate and resolve higher-level allegations of misconduct by students and student organizations. This position reports directly to the Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

  Responsibilities

  Required Education:

  Master's Degree in Higher Education, Counseling or equivalent

  Required Experience:

  5+ years in student conduct, student affairs and crisis intervention or equivalent combination.

  Preferred Experience:

  Experience in student conduct, residential life, student activities, or program development

  Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Outstanding writing skills. Ability to exercise superior judgment and discretion, as well as maintain integrity and confidence. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail; proven ability to communicate with senior level administrators in colleges/schools and other administrative units of the University. Ability to develop and implement educational programs for students and administrators.

  Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  Ability to develop and deliver training programs and assessment initiatives. Supervision and office operations. Knowledge of web content management systems, graphic design, and branding campaigns. Training and demonstrated experience in managing restorative programs and initiatives.

  Qualifications

  In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
