This project position is grant funded through August 31, 2025 and is dependent on continued federal funding. This position is an "at-will" appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules.Position PurposeThis position assists the Director with coordination of Student Support Services programming to include serving as co-facilitator for TRIO's quarterly two credit courses on college readiness, academic writing, financial literacy, graduate school, and/or career preparation; administering the development and implementation of the Mentorship Program and Tutoring Program; and managing a student caseload by providing proactive academic guidance and skill building support. This position also assists in outreach initiatives and other administrative tasks with the goal of improving the success of TRIO participants.Nature and ScopeThe incumbent reports to the Director of TRIO Student Success and Disability Support and assists with the design and implementation of TRIO Student Support Services programming.TRIO Student Success and Disability Support is a U.S. Department of Education funded program made up of two grants designed to prepare underrepresented limited-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities with the tools necessary to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic and intrusive advising support to over 280 students attending The Evergreen State College. Additionally, a suite of college success courses that range from academic skills to financial literacy to career pathways are offered to supplement the required advising support.The Student Support Services program has been funded at the Evergreen State College since 1979. The current grants are in the fourth of a five-year funding cycle. The program is contingent upon continued federal funding.Essential FunctionsMentorship and Tutoring ProgramsSupport the development of procedures to recruit, supervise, and evaluate students who will be employed as Peer Leaders, Peer Tutors, and Tutor Coordinator.Supervise student employees and serve as point of contact.Collect and analyze feedback from Peer Leaders, Peer Tutors, Tutor Coordinator, TRIO participants, and other stakeholders to evaluate satisfaction and success of both mentor and tutoring programs.Co-design, coordinate, and administer a training and development program for Peer Leaders.Assist Peer Leaders in the design, development, and execution of community building and outreach events and activities throughout the year.Coordinate and lead Staff-Peer Leader meetings.Design, coordina
