Overview
Provide leadership for the Department of Practicum Education and Community Partnership (PECP) particularly in the area of practicum coordination. Manage placements, match social work students with practicum opportunities that are aligned with CSWE accreditation standards and NYU Silver School of Social Work program requirements. Oversee a specific field of practice; establish and nurture community partner relationships across the greater NYC area for optimal practicum opportunities within that area of practice. Please note this is a fixed term position. Initial appointment for one year, with possibility of renewal based on need.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Required Experience:
5+ years Related experience (i.e. practicum instruction, practicum advising, clinical and/or teaching in social work education)
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
MSW level social work practice across fields of practice, with extensive past practice experience. Excellent, interpersonal, oral, written, and communication skills (creative, patient, tactful, and awareness of anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion in social work education). Detail-oriented; capacity to multitask; strong organizational, problem-solving, and policy interpretation & implementation skills.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $105,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
