GREENFIELD SEE WEBSITE FOR FULL JOB DESCRIPTION Assistant Director ofGrants GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES The Assistant Director of Grantsdevelops grant proposals for funding, including research andidentification of funding sources, disseminating fund source informationto relevant members of the College community, preparing and submittingproposals to meet institutions\' strategic priorities and goals. Theposition also works closely with office/department staff, awarded grantprogram staff, and senior leaders of the College to ensure accurateprogrammatic reporting and procedural compliance on all grants includingstate, federal, private foundation grants. Reporting to the ExecutiveDirector of Grants and Government Relations, the Assistant Director ofGrants establishes, maintains, and refines as needed Grants Officepolicies, practices, and procedures for grant development (pre-award)and grant management (post-award). The Assistant Director of Grantsmakes managerial policy and employment determinations in the developmentof grant proposals and the administration of awarded grants, includingconsideration of institutional needs in making policy determinations andfunding decisions that affect collectively bargained positions. MINIMUMTRAINING AND EXPERIENCE*: Bachelor\'s degree in English,Communications, Non-Profit Management, Journalism, Public Relations,Business Administration, or other applicable field; At least three (3)years of experience with grant development in which the applicant wasthe primary author of significant proposals to a variety of agencies; Atleast three (3) years of demonstrated experience with grantadministration and/or compliance; Federal grant development experience;and Experience with facilitating project design teams. PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS: Master\'s degree or higher in English, Communications,Non-Profit Management, Journalism, Public Relations, BusinessAdministration, or other applicable field; Five (5) years or moreexperience of grant proposal development experience in which theapplicant was the primary author of significant proposals to a varietyof agencies; Five (5) years or more demonstrated experience with grantadministration and/or compliance; Experience managing multiplepriorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and Experience inhigher education, particularly community colleges. WORKINGCONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Occasional travel to and from events,meetings, etc. Normal office environment, not subject to extremevariations of temperature, noise, odors, etc. May use computer keyboardsrequiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
