PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Schedules and performsvehicle and equipment repairs in response to requests from staff andlocation managers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Schedules maintenance andrepairs of vehicles and equipment as requested Maintains an appropriateinventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance Maintainsservice records of each piece of equipment and vehicle to document aquality maintenance program and meet DOT requirements Responsible forhousekeeping of the shop OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS May be required to providebackup to drivers in the Energy and Crops Departments FollowsGROWMARK\'s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program,Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures,as they apply Performs all other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTSNormally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and5 years or more of related work experience Required skills includefabrication, cutting, welding, bearing replacement, engineservice/maintenance/adjustments (both gas & diesel), automotiveelectrical, brake adjustment/repair (both mechanical & air) andhydraulic troubleshooting/repair Demonstrates essential abilitiesincluding business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customerfocus, decision making and skill development Must have and maintain avalid driver\'s license and satisfactory driving record Normallyrequires an acceptable CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsementsFrequently exposed or required to: Extreme weather conditions (hot,cold, wet, etc.) Noisy conditions Working conditions may include dust,fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safetymeasures May be required to work at varying heights Confined spaces Lift51-70 pounds Required to push heavy objects Ability to work extendedhours Ability to travel independently and overnight Ability andwillingness to participate in required training that may includeeducation on GROWMARK\'s policies and procedures and additional trainingas it relates to the requirements of the position Employment iscontingent upon receipt of an acceptable and job-related backgroundcheck, drug test, motor vehicle report, and/or reference check, asapplicable and permissible by law.
