  The Lundquist College of Business Office of Industry and Alumni Engagement partners with colleagues, alumni, and industry professionals to positively impact career readiness and student success.   Position Summary

  The Assistant Director will play a key role in executing the goals by planning and implementing programs, events, and projects that strategically engage and provide tangible benefits to students, donors, and alumni. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the Lundquist Forty-under-40 Board, oversight, and management of the Lundquist Connect platform, managing use and processes for the CRM (Salesforce) platform, and supporting other engagement activities, events, and/or programs curated in collaboration with the Associate Director. The Assistant Director will collaborate with the Associate Director by engaging with various student organizations, engaging volunteer prospects for cultivation, building and maintaining relationships with donors, and alumni, and strengthening the pipeline for the Lundquist donor and alumni community.

  The Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement reports directly to the Associate Director, Alumni Engagement.

  Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, education, or related field

  • Two years of experience in areas such as alumni engagement programs and activities, non-profit fundraising, communities of practice, higher education, or equivalent that demonstrate ability and experience in program management, including administration, integration, and assessment, and building and supporting relationships.

  Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications.

  Professional Competencies

  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a record of accomplishment of sound judgment and decision-making

  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity, and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

  • The ability to work and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a broad range of internal and external constituents

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to develop, implement, and manage several projects simultaneously with superior attentiveness to detail

  • The ability to work independently, solve problems, handle confidential information, and navigate sensitive situations

  • Ability and willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and packages

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with and managing an advisory board
