What You Will Contribute: We are looking for asecond shift Assembler in our Milwaukee Plant. This person will work ina clean, air-conditioned facility. We are willing to train for the rightperson! This position is responsible for overall assembly process.General duties include building, assembling, testing, injection moldingand packaging a variety of meters or meter reading technology products.You will be responsible for performing the various job functions asdescribed below at an acceptable level of efficiency and quality. Thework is completed through manual assembly, utilization of variousspecialty pieces of equipment, or automated machinery. Employeesregularly rotate through various workstations within their homedepartment and occasionally work in other areas of the facilitydepending on workload and customer orders. Responsible for observingsafe work habits and maintaining cleanliness of work area Major JobDuties/Accountability: * Perform a variety of operations such asassembly of meters, leak testing, meter testing, and packaging of meterproducts while following safety guidelines * Assemble products,following work instructions ensuring the highest quality products,meeting company product standards, production goals, and customerspecifications and delivery requirements * Set up and operate meteraccuracy and leak test equipment to determine acceptability of product* Operate computer to check schedules, obtain part drawings, set upwork procedures and update manufacturing status of jobs * Work fromdispatch lists or production schedules to obtain required daily output* Perform a variety of tasks such as operation of plastic injectionmolding machines and perform secondary operations to molded parts suchas degating, sprue removal and drilling * May operate and tend tomultiple machines simultaneously * Follow work instructions ensuringthe highest quality products, meeting company product standards,production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirements* Check parts visually and with the use of inspection tools, gauges,and coordinate measuring machines to ensure parts meet specified qualitystandards * Perform part counts and/or scale counts and prepareidentification tickets for outgoing materials * Load, unload and deburparts Qualifications: * 1+ years of related experience preferred *High School degree/GED preferred * Basic computer skills * Ability topass internal forklift and hazmat training if applicable * Ability towork independently with little supervision * Maintains opencommunication and positive working relationships with staff * Basicmath skills * Ability to read, write and speak English WorkingConditions: * Depending on the assigned department, must be able todemonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and complete anaudiogram test Competitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter: * CompetitivePay * Eligible for Annual Pay Increases * Comprehensive Health,Vision, and Dental Coverage * 15 days Paid Time Off + 11 Paid Holidays* Two Ways to Save for Retirement: Badger Meter contributes 25 centsfor every dollar you contribute to the plan, up to 7% of your eligiblecompensation.
