About The Job
We are seeking an as-needed, senior level professional with experience implementing and administering groundwater sustainability plans and groundwater projects in Ventura County. This person will join our hydrogeology practice, which provides Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) related services throughout California.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordination with the Fox Canyon Groundwater Management Agency (FCGMA) and Ventura County Watershed Protection District (WPD) staff on project needs and deliverables.
Implementation of the Groundwater Sustainability Plans for the Oxnard Subbasin, Pleasant Valley Basin, and Las Posas Valley Basin.
Geologic and hydrogeologic data analysis and presentation to technical experts and stakeholders.
Preparation of technical reports and presentations for use by FCGMA and WPD staff.
Evaluation and assessment of numerical groundwater modeling results.
Interpretation of state and federal water policy and regulation.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related field
25 years or more experience in groundwater consulting or management
California Professional Geologist License
California Professional Hydrogeologist License
Experience working for the County of Ventura or Fox Canyon Groundwater Management Agency
Strong written, communication, leadership, organization, and problem solving skills.
As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check. Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with FCGMA policies, procedures, ordinances, and role as a watermaster.
Experience working with FCGMA pumping records and fee assessments.
Understanding of DWR grant opportunities and awards.

This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

Proposed Salary Range: $100-150 hourly*
*Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
