Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced armed security officer to join our security team at NWS Earle, NJ.
As an armed security officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding our clients' properties, personnel, and assets.
You must be detail-oriented, alert, and able to work in high-pressure environments
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
In accordance with NAVY protocols, the armed guard force is concerned with all matters relating to the security of the command, which include:
Patrolling the premises and monitoring surveillance cameras to ensure that all areas are secure and free from potential threats
Responding quickly and effectively to any security incidents, including emergencies, thefts, and other criminal activities
Conducting regular inspections of all security equipment and making sure that all systems are working correctly
Interacting with visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner,providing assistance when needed
Maintaining accurate records of all security-related incidents and preparing reports as necessary
Working closely with law enforcement officials and other emergency personnel to ensure a coordinated response to security situations.
Perform identification checks to ensure only authorized personnel and vehicles are allowed access to the facility
May perform inspections to ensure only authorized commercial vehicles and cargo are allowed access to the facility
May execute emergency closure procedures (ECP) during emergencies to ensure all ingress and egress of personnel, property, equipment, vessels or vehicles is denied
Assisting in plans and procedures to be followed in the event of any major catastrophe, such as hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, conflagration, and hostile acts to ensure adequate security measures are maintained within the command.
Requirements
In order to be considered, candidates must meet ALL of the following requirements and examination results must be favorable as defined by the DoD contractual requirements:
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (Candidates with Active Secret Clearance Preferred)
Minimum two (2) Years armed experience working in security industry (guard services, police, military, etc.)
Possess a valid driver’s license
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Be able to pass psychological testing
Be able to pass a basic Medical Evaluation
Pre-employment Drug Testing
Be at least 21 years of age or be an honorably discharged veteran
Weapons Qualification testing
Physical Fitness –All employees must be able to participate in the Physical Fitness program that test: Endurance through a run/walk in a specific time frame, upper body & core strength through push-ups and sit ups.
