　　This position is for an Aritificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (AI/ML) Engineering entry level role in the Verizon Global Network & Technology organization. In this role you be responsible for assisting with leveraging big data tools and programming frameworks to ensure that the raw data gathered from data pipelines are redefined as data science models that are ready to scale as needed. You will work under supervision to assert that production ML tasks are working properly in terms of actual execution and scheduling, ensuring that data science code is maintainable and scalable.

　　As an AI/ML engineer you will:

　　Support the implementation of data science prototypes.

　　Research and provide input on ML algorithms and tools.

　　Analyze and gather input in areas including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile.

　　Develop one's skill set and staying up-to-date on developments in the field.

　　Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods.

　　Gather and input information into existing ML libraries and frameworks.

　　Run machine learning tests.

　　Develop, test, deploy and maintain machine learning system software.

　　You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.

　　In this hybrid full time position, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. This hybrid role will be days assigned by your manager.

　　Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree majoring in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or related majors with a completion date of June 2024.

　　Coursework or demonstrated experience in Python, Java, and C++.

　　Coursework or experience in deep learning (ex: CV models and other data models).

　　Coursework or experience in API Integration, Integrating AI models with software development life cycle .

　　Willingness to travel as needed.

　　Even better if you have one or more of the following:

　　Demonstrated strong written and communication skills.

　　Experience working with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite

　　Proficient in Deep Learning: CV models, other data models (TensorFlow, Ansile).

　　Experience in Generative AI - NLP, LLMs, Open AI, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPI integration.

　　Experience in AI/ML - Anomaly detection and Data Visualization.

　　Ability to work with/in Supervised and Unsupervised Learning, Deep Learning Networks, Natural Language Processing or Computer Vision, Recommender Systems, Python, and/or Software/ML Tools
