　　We are looking for candidates with experience in engineering software tool development to create the next generation software tools and automations for vehicle interface and network communication design. This is a fast-paced rapid -prototype development position with high visibility and potential impact across the next generation vehicle architecture. We are looking for highly motivated and driven candidates who can hit the ground running on day one.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　What you'll do...

　　Lead the creation, maintenance, and release of the Ford in-house interface definition tools that produce production AUTOSAR deliverables such as Software componentsNetwork topologyNetwork communications (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)ECU Extracts System extracts Ensure in-house tools, scripts, and automations are easily expandable, flexible and developed iteratively.Select, configure, and maintain common databases or repositories for in-house tools and data.Ensure modern software approaches and CI/CD principles are applied to increase team efficiencyBuild custom in-house software tool libraries Work at the intersection of AUTOSAR application layer software, hardware topology, and communicationsCollaborate with various internal partners for continuous improvement of the architecture release process and results.Expand knowledge in technical areas such as AUTOSAR or other future architectural models as needed to support customer development teams.

　　QUALIFICATIONS

　　You'll Have:

　　Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or or a combination of education and equivalent experience2+ years of work experience software engineering, with a focus on Python development

　　Even better, you may have:

　　Master's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Field 5+ years of work experience software engineering, with a focus on Python developmentDevOps experience, including experience with DevOps tooling like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and JFrog.Strong understanding of the Python ecosystem and open-source communityExperience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or KubernetesWilling to work in multiple languages alongside Python, including JavaScript and Typescript3+ years of work experience with AUTOSAR software.2+ years of experience selecting, configuring, and maintaining a databaseKnowledge and application of SOA principles in automotive.Work experience in Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR generating ECU extracts; creating vehicle service specifications for automotive SOA framework; or working with automotive Ethernet.Experience working in an Agile team using Jira for issue management tracking.Work in collaboration with multiple partners and complete tasks per a release scheduleExperience leading complex software development activities using Python, C, Java, C++, and/or other languagesPrevious tool or script development experience working with AUTOSAR Classic, AUTOSAR Adaptive, and/or AUTOSAR XML (ARXML) formats
