Looking for an experienced Architectural Designer with 3-5 years of experience
Description:
As an Architectural Designer II, you will work under the supervision and mentorship of senior staff to develop design concepts and create accurate and complete documentation in all phases within the established design principles, project budget and schedule. You will work within a multi-disciplinary project team, providing technical design expertise and assistance during the various phases of projects.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Prepare building models and detailed contract documents.
Coordinate technical design of your projects with other internal disciplines and outside consultants.
Participate in the development of project specifications and their coordination with the drawings.
Participate in reviewing completed reports, submittals, drawings, estimates and calculations for accuracy.
Attend site-visits and meetings in order to expedite construction and help resolve any issues encountered in the field such as unforeseen conditions, code related issues, and interpretation of construction documents.
Regularly communicate with staff to ensure that the document requirements are met prior to the delivery and final presentation of the project.
Utilize and encourage best use of design software/technology for presentation and production purposes, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, BSD SpecLink and other emerging technologies.
Your Knowledge and Experience:
Knowledge of the architectural design and documentation process, trends in the design and construction industries, construction methodology, sustainability, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
Knowledge of architectural building systems. Basic knowledge of sustainability and other trends in the design/construction industry.
Experience with the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes.
Knowledge of architectural building systems. Knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents.
Ability to coordinate and integrate work with designers, engineers, construction administrators, consultants and other members of a project team.
Strong knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD required. Experience in producing construction documents preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook required. Experience in Project, SharePoint, and Teams preferred.
Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and BSD Spec Link preferred.
