Job Summary: In this Architectural Designer Intern role, you will work with experienced professionals and assist with design concepts, gain practical experience with regard to design development and working with multidisciplinary project teams. Essential Job Functions: Assists in production designs from presentation through construction drawings. Prepares and produces Revit and some CAD drawings to create and document architectural designs. Executing as-built documentation of existing buildings and creating Revit documents. Provides creative design input during the conceptual and schematic phases of projects. Collaborates with Project Managers and other team members to advance the design concepts. Opportunities to see projects from concept to completion. Assists with master planning, site planning, building planning and design efforts, and documentation development. Research and develop knowledge with building codes to understand how designs need to comply with minimum legal standards. Works with Project Managers and Architects in the construction phase activities by reviewing shop drawings and creating a master log of the project submittals. Collects client space requirements and develops space program documents for projects. Assist in modification and updating of construction documents as required. Assists with completing as-built measures of spaces. Assist in developing color/material finish palettes. Participates in the development of construction documents and specifications to meet the design intent.
