About Architect - Data Engineer (REMOTE)

  As an Architect – Data Engineering, you will be responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and managing data programs, data pipelines and analysis of data. You will serve as the technical expert, in this role identify and develop areas for with the MDM and Data engineering teams, as well as supporting some of our existing Data engineering leadership. You will also collaborate with business partners and other technical teams across the organization to deliver proposed solutions.

  Responsibilities:

  • Manage the evaluation, identification, development, and implementation of data engineering and cloud solutions.

  • Locate and direct solutions working with data engineering and MDM teams.

  • Identify and resolve failures within existing and newly developed data pipelines and programs.

  • Design real-time and batch system interfaces and data enrichment pipelines in a cloud-native data ecosystem.

  • Troubleshoot production issues of all levels and severities, tracks progress from identification through resolution and ensure best practices are followed.

  • Work with IT leadership and business partners to design features for the cloud platform.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree - Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 7 years experience in a data engineering and MDM.

  • 5+ years experience in analyzing and working with Data.

  • Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • 9 years experience in a lead development role.

  • 5+ years experience in Cloud Solution.

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (such as CosmosDB).

  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment.

  The expected salary range for this role is $97,900.00 - $131,500.00. This is the salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s compensation level within the range will be based on several factors, including but not limited to geographic location, experience, relevant education, qualifications, skills, organizational needs, and performance. This position may be eligible to participate in the company’s incentive plan. Wesco provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, disability insurance, 401k Plan, and Paid Time Off.
