Our well-reputable A&E client is hiring long-term within their Architectural Department. Seeking an experienced (non-Licensed) Architect that will work in full range of architectural services starting from assisting the client in establishing the scope of work and then producing the architectural drawings for that designated project(s). Will not be managing anyone and this is a heavy "production" role being responsible for producing drawings within certain deadlines. Projects are renovations of various industrial sites around Michigan
-Involved in all design phases including: Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents.
-Individual should be familiar with specifications and code research to be able to provide technical support.
-Meet with the users of the office, facility, or space that requires work to be done. Gain understanding of what needs to be done and how these users actually use the facility, office, or space that requires work.
-Present technical design solutions to clients and/or committees based on what they want and what company can deliver
-Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
-Responsible for the design, development and progression of the design/front-end of projects
-Assists in the production of detailed schematics. Typical to work on “single line diagrams”
-Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to product construction (contract) documents
-Develop floor plants/site plans/etc., add dimensions, create new & update existing building renovations
-Perform dimensional and routine calculations for drawings and design layouts
-Produce and coordinate complete set of construction documents for permitting and bidding
