JOB REQUIREMENTS: Using sophisticated climbing and rigging techniques,cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs to maintainright-of-way for roads, sidewalks, or utilities, or to improveappearance, health, and value of tree. Prune or treat trees or shrubsusing handsaws, hand pruners, clippers, and power pruners. Works off theground in the tree canopy and may use truck-mounted lifts. Seeking amotivated, reliable, and dedicated individual to join our team.Individual must be able to perform all job duties including but notlimited to: Individual must: - Hold knowledge and be able toperform/demonstrate proper climbing, knot tying, rigging, pruning andremoval techniques. **Experience with ariel lift(s) or bucket truck(s)and climbing - Hold knowledge on growth and development of tree lifecycle, as well as tree biology -Be able to operate small and largeequipment -Be able to perform equipment inspections and practiceequipment safety -Utilize all personal protective equipment (PPE)-Report to work promptly -Show initiative and ability to improve jobskills to develop the potential for upward advancement. -Must have a CDLor be able to obtain within 1 year of hire -Certified Arborist orCertified eligible within a reasonable time frame. Cable, brace, tie,bolt, stake, and guy trees and branches to provide support. Clean,sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment. Clear sites, streets, andgrounds of woody and herbaceous materials, such as tree stumps andfallen trees and limbs. Climb trees, using climbing hooks and belts, orclimb ladders to gain access to work areas. Collect debris and refusefrom tree trimming and removal operations into piles, using shovels,rakes, or other tools. Cut away dead and excess branches from trees, orclear branches around power lines, using climbing equipment or bucketsof extended truck booms, or chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, andclippers. Hoist tools and equipment to tree trimmers, and lower brancheswith ropes or block and tackle. Inspect trees to determine if they havediseases or pest problems. Load debris and refuse onto trucks and haulit away for disposal. Operate boom trucks, loaders, stump chippers,brush chippers, tractors, power saws, trucks, sprayers, and otherequipment and tools. Prune, cut down, fertilize, and spray trees asdirected by tree surgeons.
