The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for leading the accounts receivable collection team in the collections process, including outreach to customers on collection issues; communicating with outside collection agencies; driving improvements in the process; reviewing customer history and online reporting tools for creditworthiness and ensuring adherence to internal controls. The preferred candidate will have 8+ years of accounts receivable and collections experience with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills plus proficient Excel knowledge. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, detailed oriented and possess the ability to prioritize work in order to meet tight deadlines.
▪ Responsible for managing and overseeing the collection process, including cash application and invoice adjustments for thousands customers across multiple legal entities and in various currencies
▪ Establish strong relationships with internal teams (e.g. Sales, General Managers, Customer Care) and Customers and ensure effective communications for a smooth collections process
▪ Performing analysis of accounts receivable aging report data to identify and prioritize past due accounts, collection issues, mis-applied/unapplied payments, etc.
▪ Identify issues preventing timely payment from customers, working internally and with customers on collection issues and navigating customer systems (e.g. online portals such as Ariba, Coupa, etc.)
▪ Reviewing customer history and online credit reports to provide regular updates and provide one-off input on creditworthiness to the Director or Operations and the SVP, Accounting
▪ Research payment terms compliance issues for root causes and work with Director of Accounting Operations and Sales to resolve issues
▪ Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly accounts receivable reporting analysis
▪ Send out collection demand letters and send accounts to collections; write off accounts/invoices when deemed uncollectible
▪ Create documentation of Standard Operating Procedures for Accounts Receivable tasks
▪ Provide information to support audits and other requests
▪ Perform ad hoc projects and analysis to support Director, Accounting Operations
