EDUCATION/EXPERIENCERequired:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Colorado driver's license
First Aid/CPR within six months
Asbestos Operations & Maintenance Certification within six months
Mold Awareness Certification within six months
Requires at least two years of verifiable experience as an apprenticecarpenter
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective: This position requires apprentice-level knowledge ofcabinetry, casework, rough carpentry, and layout. The position alsorequires apprentice-level knowledge of roofing, building maintenancematerials, and practices.
Essential Functions:
Constructs, installs, relocates, removes, and/or repairs districtbuildings, equipment, and furnishings, including floors, windows,partitions, doors, cabinets, shelving, countertops, and furniture.
Replaces, attaches, moves, and repairs classroom aids and equipment.Installs smart boards, large-screen televisions, bulletin boards, andvarious other large-mounted equipment.
Inspects roofs semiannually (spring and fall), plans repair schedules,and repairs roof leaks.
Performs minor brick and block repairs.
Maintains accurate records of installations, repairs, materials used,and time spent on projects using the district s computerized work order system.
Willingness to carry an on-call phone, be on call, and/or respond tocalls 24/7.
