DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Provide oversight of resolution of application issues, including troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving. Ensure that the production changes team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Draw on experience to manage and mentor people to drive strategic change, both within team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global network of innovators. Collaborate across Application Development, Product, and Production management to establish and maintain stability of key production services. Manage, track, and validate all changes to the Production, Disaster Recovery environment. Manage priority incidents and leverage cross-functional teams to quickly eliminate impacts and facilitate blameless post- mortems. Escalate issues and risks effectively, when necessary, across supporting framework. Troubleshoot Key technical issues or escalate and work with appropriate technology teams to provide solutions. Provide timely responses to service requests from Client facing support teams, Operations partners, etc. Manage application and infrastructure to maximize stability and resiliency. Leverage and improve monitoring and alerting capabilities to ensure application SLAs are met. Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases and ensure delivery of non-functional requirements. Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions. Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing, resiliency patterns. Lead and participate in performance tests. Identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands. Responsible for Production Monitoring expertise and implementing automation components including tools, platforms, process, and policies. Participate in the rotational on-call support coverage as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Applications Support Lead, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Mainframe technologies languages such as Natural, COBOL, JCL, or CICS; mainframe technologies databases such as Adabas or Mainframe DB2; mainframe technologies tools such as Eztrieve VSAM, SPUFI, QMF, DATMAN Dataset management, ROCHADE, ONDEMAND, MQ Series, Natural XML, FTP, and schedulers such as CA7; distributed technologies languages such as Java, JXB, Perl, Shell scripting, or C++; distributed technologies databases such as Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2 UDB; Distributed technologies tools such as Autosys, Batchmon, DBArtisan, or Squirrel and log monitoring technologies such as SPLUNK; Production Management and ITIL practices including incident management, problem management, change management and managing these in a central ticketing system such as ServiceNow.
