We are currently seeking an Applications Scientist who will be responsible for performing feasibility, verification and validation studies for custom & automation projects.
What we’ll get you doing:
Work with cross-functional teams (hardware engineering, software, applications) to define & develop unique solutions to meet user needs
Work directly with Sales, Field Applications & external customers to understand specific scientific application requirements.
Develop and execute experimental plans to prove feasibility of achieving specific customer needs and to validate the final developed solutions.
Acquire and analyze data, interpret results and draw conclusions with complete records in accordance with quality system requirements.
The essential requirements of the role include:
BS/MS with experience, Ph.D preferred, in Cell & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field (will accept foreign education equivalent)
5+ years of laboratory experience: to include mammalian and microbial cell culture, assay development.
Demonstrated experience with verification and validation of scientific instruments and assays.
Demonstrated experience with working on cross-functional teams as well as independently
Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new projects and challenges
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Strong, working knowledge of Molecular Devices instruments and software
Strong, working knowledge of automation systems and scheduling software e.g. GBG, Genera.
Outstanding time management and prioritization skills
The salary range for this role is $95K-$105K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
